Since 1962, a pharmaceutical company in the United Kingdom has provided curative medicines and innovative tools to patients across the world. In order to continue cultivating its strong global footprint in commercial healthcare, research and development, the company sought to relocate its corporate office to the United States.
However, it had a hard time finding a partner it could trust to handle such a large-scale project. Having met with several vendors who could not deliver the level of service or efficiency it wanted, the company decided to branch out to a new solution provider: Insight.
Our Supply Chain Optimization team met with the client’s internal team to pinpoint specific pain points and objectives. In order to vet our capabilities, the client first had our team resolve a processing dilemma for one of its Canadian offices. Then, we worked in conjunction with the company to conduct a software renewal of its existing solution, Druva — U.K. software for data protection in the cloud. After the successful software renewal, the next step was to perform the data migration.
Providing solutions for ongoing success
The goal was to expand the company’s data center footprint in order to establish the new U.S. headquarters. By equipping the company with Dell Technologies storage and servers, Cisco Meraki networking solutions and Lenovo devices, we helped enhance the overall end point solution.
The migration took seven months to complete. In addition to the data center enhancements and migration, the client also needed help procuring updated devices. With a focus on improving the work environment through better connectivity and mobility, we helped the client implement best-in-class speakers, conference-room phones, keyboards, printers and more into its new office.
We also understood the importance of data security for our client. In handling vast amounts of classified, patient data on a regular basis, the company needed to ensure its existing security solutions could combat incoming threats. Focusing on endpoint protection, we helped implement email security software and label printing software.
Having built a strong relationship with the company over the course of this project, we look forward to continuing our partnership, providing additional data protection solutions for 2020 and beyond.
