An innovative medical billing software company known for intuitive revenue cycle management solutions needed to modernize its data center to improve security and keep up with growth.
The client already had Dell Technologies solutions in place but needed to refresh their solution to meet their evolving business needs. To ensure growth and increase security, they decided to pursue a refresh of their data center. In particular, the client wanted to deploy a Storage Space Direct hyperconverged cluster in their environment that would facilitate scalability and growth for the business and its customers. Since the company works closely with hospitals and doctors’ offices, data security was a top priority for the refresh. The client also wanted a vendor that would be a true partner by having their best interests in mind.
A new SD2 cluster for improved data management
During its search for a reliable, end-to-end partner, the company chose Insight for our competitive pricing, excellent customer service, and breadth and depth of capabilities across our four solution areas. After analyzing the client’s needs, we proposed deploying newer Dell EMC Microsoft® Storage Spaces Direct Ready Nodes built on a cluster of Dell EMC PowerEdge 740xd servers, as well as Fortinet® FortiSIEM, and multifactor authentication to support remote users during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the end, we helped the client deploy 16 PowerEdge 740xd servers, six Dell EMC DPM servers and five other Dell EMC servers not related to the cluster. Additionally, FortiSIEM provided the client with visibility, correlation, automated response and remediation in one place, simplifying and improving network security.
