An employment agency that provides temporary staffing, permanent placement and executive search services needed to replace its sales team’s aging computers. The devices provided a poor end-user experience as they were unable to reliably support daily operations.
The firm’s sales team also wanted to transition away from its existing Windows-based devices to Apple laptops, identifying the MacBook Air as an ideal replacement.
Seeking personalized services and low prices, the company began its search for an IT partner.
Initially, the staffing company reached out to Insight to request a quote for a single MacBook Air. Our team engaged with the agency to learn about its existing IT environment and leveraged our Apple partnership to provide a competitive price. Once it received the quote, the agency reported that our pricing was the best it saw and ordered 60 MacBook Air laptops.
Committed to providing comprehensive services, we asked the client how it planned to manage these new devices. The staffing agency acknowledged that its existing device management solution couldn’t provide the level of service it required. We determined that Jamf Pro would be the best solution to support the new Apple-based environment. To streamline the client’s device rollout, we made sure each MacBook Air laptop had Jamf Pro installed on it before deployment.
While working on the IT refresh, Insight also learned that the client’s existing Cisco Meraki dashboard license was up for renewal. The client hadn’t been offered a license renewal from its original provider, so we provided one.
Through this process, we helped educate the client on procurement best practices that would streamline its IT supply chain. We started a monthly cadence of engaging with the company to help it consistently acquire the technology needed to support its business objectives.
The lower cost of procuring MacBook Air laptops through Insight allowed the client to align its computer refresh with the sales team’s request for Apple devices.
By providing its end users with the devices they requested, the agency is experiencing higher employee satisfaction, productivity and retention. Insight is also working with the staffing company to help it meet new and upcoming IT needs, including license renewals and device refreshes.
